How to Cancel a Reservation & Booking in eZee FrontDesk

Introduction

This guide explains how to cancel a reservation or booking in eZee FrontDesk. If a guest cancels or does not show up, the system allows quick cancellation, updating the inventory automatically across channels and the hotel website.

Methods to Cancel a Reservation

Method 1: Cancel from Stay View

  • Switch to Stay View.
  • Select the reservation that needs to be canceled.
  • Right-click on the room and select Cancel Reservation.

  • If there are no cancellation charges, click Next.

  • If an advance payment was received, process the refund.

  • If cancellation charges apply:
    • Click on Add Charge.
    • Enter the cancellation amount.
    • Click Save.

  • Click Next and add the payment to set off the cancellation charges.
  • If no advance payment was received, click Next and enter a cancellation remark.

  • Click Finish to successfully cancel the reservation.

Method 2: Cancel from the Front Office Option

  • Click on the Navigation button.
  • Select Front Office, then Reservation List.
  • To search for a reservation on a specific date:
    • Click the down arrow in the top-right corner.
    • Select the arrival date.
    • Click Search.
  • Select the reservation to be canceled.
  • Click on Cancel and follow the same steps as in Method 1.

Mark a Reservation as No-Show

  • Follow the same steps as in Method 1, but select No-Show instead of Cancel.

Viewing Cancellation Reports

  • Switch to Report View.
  • Search for Reservation List under the Reservation Section.
  • Select Show Type as Cancelled or No-Show.
